FITNESS WEDNESDAY

WORKOUT ROUTINE

Welcome back to another Fitness Wednesday!

To put a little spin on things, I added a short video to today’s fitness Wednesday, yeah!. First and foremost, one of the questions that I received from last fitness Wednesday is as follows:

Question: “It’s been a while, since I’ve lost any fat from my love handles. I have tried side crunches, running, and I’ve tried my best to eat healthy as much as possible. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do to slim down my love handles?”

Me: As you may know or not know that “Love handles” are called oblique’s.

When I saw the question pop up in my inbox, I smiled. Why? It’s simple; I use to ask this question too, how can I lose fat from my obliques? At that time my oblique’s had more fat compared to the front of my belly.

At one point, I thought that was how I was shaped. Yes, that is partially the case lol but I did find ways to help eliminate the excess fat from my oblique’s. On the other hand, losing the excess fat was a real struggle.

Besides eating a consistently well-balanced and healthy diet, here are two moves that will challenge your obliques from every angle. Are you ready to burn the fat from your obliques?! Okay let’s do this!

Video

#1 Hip Up: 10 or 15 reps on each side (10 reps easy) (15 reps medium)

#2 Modified spiderman push ups: 10 or 15 reps on each side (10 reps easy) (15 reps medium)

Do these two oblique exercise at least 4 times a week for 15 to 20 minutes and I guarantee you will see results within a week.

What exercises do you do to keep your obliques in check, let me know in the comment section below?

These sound great. I’ve recently started doing plank twists, side planks and crunches with my lower body twisted to keep my love handles in check, as I noticed normal side crunches were making my waist wider. Thanks for the extra suggestions 🙂

      Hi Nashra,
      You are welcome!!
I too think normal crunches are no good. But try these moves and keep me posted. Side planks are also great!

This sounds like a routine I can handle! I need to seriously get focused on fitness and working out — I need to stop blaming the fact that I’m tired from being a working mama and just get going! 🙂

Thank you for sharing! I feel motivated to do a workout now 🙂 When I have downtime I usually pop in a Jillian Michaels workout dvd and I have noticed quite a difference. My favorite dvd of hers is Ripped in 30, it’s great for a full body workout that will tone you up quick.

Anything with a plank, count me in!! A plank get’s confused for a core exercise when it’s really a total body one, am i right?! You gotta squeeze that tush, your shoulders get a real burn, AND your abs are engaged the whole time. 😉
